I just sat down with a pile of index cards and some colored pens with the intention of organizing my stories into themes. However, I was a bit distracted when I looked out my front window. Can you see it?
Here, let me show you another view of my front yard.
Yup, that's snow ladies and gentlemen. Winter has arrived in the Michigan mitten. Just thought I'd let you know. Now, back to my regularly scheduled organizational frenzy . . .

Keep it up your way, please!
ReplyDeletebermudaonion - LOL! I'll try.
ReplyDeleteCool pictures! Looks like big, wet snowflakes! I love the term, Michigan Mitten! Never heard of that, but it sure tells me the location!! Enjoy looking out that window while you organize and write.
ReplyDeleteBecky - A few of the flakes were at least the size of quarters. Now the sun is out. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteHey Janel, I really am stunned by the wacky weather the entire U.S.has had this year. Let's hope that 2012 will be more "normal."
ReplyDeleteWe had a bit of that here today too....yuk!
ReplyDeleteI'm crying!! I don't want snow yet!!
ReplyDeleteHappened to us today in Chicagoland, too. Instead of bumming, I decided to buy a peppermint mocha and celebrate the moment.
ReplyDeleteNote: This is very rare for me, taking an optimistic perspective such as this. I think I'll have to wear all black tomorrow to make up for it.
:)
Ho. Ho. Ho.
Becky - On the news tonight they said the snow is only about a week early for us. We've had snow as early as Halloween during other years!
ReplyDeleteJo-Jo - Yeah, it looks like it came across quite a few states.
Staci - Don't cry! Your tears will freeze...and turn into snow. :)
Karen - Oh, so you sent the snow this way! All I could think about when I saw it for the first time was that I was glad I'm not a teacher trapped in a room full of excited kids.
I'd never heard Michigan Mitten either, but how perfect. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWe had our first snowflakes yesterday too. I already want them to go away LOL.
Great photos. Hope you have a good weekend coming up!
Julie - I didn't realize those snow squalls went that far south!
